Raising money to fight world hunger

According to the United Nations, there are 795 million people around the world who are hungry. As a franchise of one of the world’s largest restaurant company, we believe it is our privilege and responsibility to make a difference in the lives of others less fortunate who are hungry around the globe.   In 2007 as Yum! approached a 10th anniversary, they decided to align their franchise system around a global crisis that we were well positioned to address – hunger relief. Yum! and the Brands had a longstanding commitment to hunger in the U.S. through our Harvest program.

Today, Yum! Brands’ World Hunger Relief effort is one of the world’s largest private sector hunger relief initiative, spanning more than 125 countries and territories, with over 41,000 KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell restaurants and 1.5 million employees. The organization has raised nearly $600 Million in cash and food donations for WFP and other hunger relief agencies, helping to provide nearly 2.4 billion notorious meals for those in need and save the lives of millions of people in remote corners of the world.

Please join us in the movement to end global hunger. Every U.S. dollar raised will go directly towards WFP’s operations to fight hunger around the world. One U.S. dollar provides four meals for hungry children at school.  Together we can save lives and move people from hunger to hope.

The World Hunger Relief campaign kicks off on September 28 and runs through November 14th.  Visit any Pizza Hut to donate today.
