Raising money to support veteran flights to Washington DC
Wisconsin Hospitality Group, LLC (WHG) and its 33 Wisconsin-based Applebee’s restaurants are proud to announce ten years of Veterans Day free meals provided. Active and retired servicemen and women are invited to stop by one of the locations and receive a free entrée for their service. Over 14,000 veterans were served meals in 2016, making it one of the largest attended Veterans Day event and WHG is hopeful that they will have the opportunity to surpass that number in the coming years. Since the campaign began over 108,000 veterans have received a meal of honor.
“We are thankful for the men and women who have served or currently serve, to protect this great nation and our way of life,” said Mark Dillon, president and CEO of Wisconsin Hospitality Group, LLC. “We’re excited to, once again this year, provide free meals to our military heroes on Veterans Day, serving thousands of Vets and active duty military here in Wisconsin each year.”
